Global Positioning System installed on the GPS navigator uses satellites to determine exactly where you are (down to a few feet). For example, if you need to turn at the next right, the navigator uses GPS to calculate where you are in relation to the right turn. It can then tell you exactly when you must turn right as you near the turning.
GPS essentially means you can’t get lost, because the navigator screen map shows you exactly where you are at all times. GPS can also calculate the best route from point A to point B. GPS can also calculate the distance, and this can be used to calculate approximate driving time between two points.
